Orgesa is a passionate and self-motivated pharmacist and gerontologist, dedicated to advancing the science and practice of healthy aging. She holds a Master of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Medicine Tirana and a Research Master in Gerontological Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Currently, she is pursuing a joint PhD at Lithuanian Sports University and VUB, where her research explores how resistance training can enhance neuroplasticity and reduce inflammation in older adults.
Her journey blends clinical experience with academic research.
As a pharmacist, she has counselled patients on preventive care, safety, and lifestyle changes. As a researcher, she investigates the intersection of aging, movement, and brain health. She is also interested in medico-marketing and how science can be translated into actionable, real-world solutions that empower people to age actively and meaningfully.
Curious, people-centered, and entrepreneurial in spirit, she imagines a future where health systems not only treat disease but prevent it and promote vitality across the lifespan. She hopes to build bridges between academia, industry, and policy to co-create healthier societies. Alongside her research, she is passionate about communication, lifelong learning, and creating spaces, both scientific and social, where ideas and people can thrive.
